What is LifeSculpt and how can it help me?
LifeSculpt body sculpting is a revolutionary treatment that uses "fat-melting" laser wavelength technology powered by a system called SlimLipo. Via a few tiny incisions, this patented laser gently "melts" fat for quick and permanent removal from your body. Its superior minimally-invasive technology means you'll achieve a slimmer look with minimal downtime.
What results can I expect?
You can expect to eliminate small, localized areas of fat - almost anywhere on the body - which are resistant to diet and exercise. Results may vary, and are not guaranteed — consult with a LifeSculpt physician to see if you are a good candidate for LifeSculpt.
Which parts of my body can be treated?
You can treat fat on almost any area of your body with LifeSculpt laser body sculpting, but common areas for treatment include the stomach, back (bra bulge), buttocks, chin, neck, love handles, thighs and upper arms. For more information, see What Can LifeSculpt Do For Me?
Is this for men, too?
Yes. LifeSculpt can be used to eliminate stubborn, fatty areas for men, too. As with women, men can target almost anywhere on the body but one of the more common areas is the chest.
How fast is the LifeSculpt procedure?
Depending on the area being treated, this body sculpting treatment may take as little as an hour. Larger trouble spots may take more time. During your pre-procedure consultation, your LifeSculpt physician will perform an evaluation and go over any questions with you.
How many treatments will I need?
Typically, one treatment is enough for a given area.
What does the process feel like?
You may be pleasantly surprised by how little discomfort you'll feel. Patients often say they feel slight warmth in the area. Our state-of-the-art system features technology that has been carefully designed to ease unnecessary trauma to the body.
How long is the recovery?
Typically, the recovery time is a fraction of that of traditional liposuction. Many patients resume activity immediately following the procedure, and may go back to work the very next day. You may see slight bruising at the small incision sites, which may take up to a few weeks to completely resolve. Compression garments may also be required for a short period of time. Ask your LifeSculpt physician about post-procedure instructions and what you should expect during your recovery period.
Is it done in an office setting or an operating room?
It depends upon your physician's preference. LifeSculpt is often performed on an outpatient basis in an office-based setting but may also be done in a surgical facility or hospital setting.
Can I use LifeSculpt laser body sculpting if I've already had liposuction?
Since traditional liposuction can often result in skin irregularities, these patients are often good candidates for LifeSculpt. Laser body sculpting can gently "melt" remaining unwanted fat, smooth out dents and dimples, and further tighten healthy skin.
How do I know if this is right for me?
Every patient is different. The best way to know if LifeSculpt is right for you is to consult a local LifeSculpt physician. Please use our Provider Locator to find a LifeSculpt physician near you.
How safe is the LifeSculpt treatment?
All surgical treatments carry risks. Your LifeSculpt physician will review the risks associated with this procedure with you, and determine if LifeSculpt is right for you.
Is LifeSculpt appropriate for heavier patients?
LifeSculpt may be performed on heavier patients. Patients with significant weight may need to complete a weight loss program before being treated with LifeSculpt. Your LifeSculpt physician will determine if you are a good candidate for LifeSculpt.
